CDP Performing Companies Menu
Performing Company/advanced dance: Consist of advanced level dancers selected by Cangelosi through invitation by audition or through the CDP guided dance schedule to perform the main core performances each season.
Junior Performing Company: Consist of intermediate/advanced dancers who study CDP guided schedule in classical and contemporary dance technique. Student must be eleven years of age or older and audition for the company. Student must commit each season.
Artist showcase: Intimate showcases presented by the Cangelosi Dance Project and invited artists viewing creative works.
New faces New Places series: The CDP Company and student company perform at various venues across the community to become acquainted with new audience members.
Dance Workshops: Cangelosi Dance Project and other organizations offer dance workshops at various locations across the community to bring established artists to teach their craft.
Move through the city community student outreach: Student Company performs at various retirement homes, libraries and other events to communicate dance as a performing art.
Touring: Cangelosi Dance Project Company performs out of town for festivals, events, concerts, and educational projects. Booking engagements are from presenters, organizations, non-profit groups and individuals.
Main stage Performances: The Cangelosi Dance Project and Student Company perform two main stage shows a year. Winter and spring performances are ticketed shows sold through the rented theatre Box offices.
Private class: Private classes are provided by Cangelosi in ballet technique and choreographic projects to students who are enrolled at CDP and interested in developing a stronger foundation in dance. Call for single class or monthly series rates

CDP Goal
Cangelosi Dance Project space is located 3749 Perkins Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70808. This is an environment for dance students, emerging artists and mature dancers to study a guided technique in foundation of dance and present artistic creation to the community.
CDP Philosophy
Our belief is to maintain the establishment of dance through strong technique, imagination, originality, and perform in several unique and main stage performance venues.
