CDP Dance Education CDP offers dance classes
in classical ballet, Pointe, modern dance, jazz dance, contemporary dance, and tap dance. Students are offered several options
in selecting their dance classes. Students who are serious about their dance training and want to pursue additional dance
opportunities; they are offered CDP dance training program and performing season company series. Students who wish to enroll
in dance classes to learn about the art of dance, or just to have fun are offered a monthly class option with a
recital option. The Cangelosi Dance Project is proud to offer a professional faculty, raised wooded sprung floor with marley,
top of the line sound system, quality class structure in all dance disciplines, limited student size per class,
friendly and healthy environment. CDP is current with all styles of dance with a discipline system to guide dancers with accurate
information in vocabulary and repertory for performance. Master Classes: Cangelosi Dance Project offers open master classes to the public at the Cangelosi Dance
Project studio. Artist in Residence: Cangelosi Dance Project offers an artist in residence program for the community. Artist will teach eight hours
or more within a three day course. Ballet: The study of ballet serves to enhance technical structure, placement, posture and proper alignment with the use
of rotation of the legs. There are codified systems of study including Italian, Russian and the Royal Ballet methods for definite
steps, body lines, and coordination of the body, head, arm and leg. Modern Dance:
The use of torso in erection and spiraling motion, connection of spine and pelvic region, parallel positions, contraction
and release, breath, and the use of dynamics are movement tools used for modern dance. Lyrical:
Lyrical dance incorporates the techniques of classical ballet, jazz dance and modern dance that adapt the lyrics of the song
providing a graceful style. Emotion and deep expression are the focus of movement for this style Jazz: Jazz Dance is a blend of traditions influenced by the Europeans for their
elegance of style, African culture due to the rhythmic pulsation and modern dance from the Americans as well as folk dances
from other cultures. It is a highly energetic form of dance that incorporates ballet, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and acrobatics. Contemporary
Dance: This style of dance is the popular of
today’s choreographic movement expression combining modern and ballet disciplines Tap: Tap dancing is the sound from the tap on the shoes heel and ball of
the foot that coordinates rhythmic sound, dynamics, speed and sharpness of movement. Hip Hop:
Hip Hop dance is a multi-layered of body isolations with a grounded body positioning using an over haul of sharpness, attitude,
